Body mechanics are a corner stone of Massage Therapy

As a Massage Therapist people always ask me "don't your hands get tired and start to hurt?
Another thing they ask is if my back, neck, and feet are hurting after a long day of doing massage.
The answer I give is always the same no. The reason for this is I practice proper body mechanics. Massage dose not come from your hands.

It all starts with the lower body and core muscles. Never bending at the waist or leading with your hands. This process is described in the video below. This is one of a million differences between a Licensed Massage Therapist and an am mature unlicensed person.

Many Other Therapist have instilled in me the importance of proper body mechanics when I was in school. This lesson has never left me, and I always try to emphasize it to new therapists.
