Improve your Urinary tract health with D-Mannose
Around 50% of women "and some men" in the United States will suffer from
urinary tract infections at some point in their lives. One of the best
ways to prevent these infections is to make sure that your are drinking
enough pure water every day. Remember than an ounce of prevention equals
one pound of "cure".
You can risk getting Urinary Tract infections by practicing good
hygiene. Also be aware that many feminine hygiene product are actually
toxic and can lead to health problems "read the labels". D-Mannose is a
supplement that can greatly improve the health of your Urinary tract. It
is considered to be more powerful than Cranberry extract. Remember that
it takes one pound of "cure" to equal one ounce of prevention. In other
words health problems are much easier to prevent than to reverse.
Below is a video of Dr Joseph Mercola talking about the health benefits
of D-Mannose for the health of the Urinary tract.

Body mechanics are a corner stone of Massage Therapy
As a Massage Therapist people always ask me "don't your hands get tired and start to hurt?
Another thing they ask is if my back, neck, and feet are hurting after a long day of doing massage.
The answer I give is always the same no. The reason for this is I practice proper body mechanics. Massage dose not come from your hands.
It all starts with the lower body and core muscles. Never bending at the waist or leading with your hands. This process is described in the video below. This is one of a million differences between a Licensed Massage Therapist and an am mature unlicensed person.
Many Other Therapist have instilled in me the importance of proper body mechanics when I was in school. This lesson has never left me, and I always try to emphasize it to new therapists.

Scientific research for massage therapy
http://www.massagetherapyfoundation.org/pubmedsearches.html
The link above Has a vast amount of information from a well respected source "Pubmed".
It showcases a great amount of scientific evidence that supports massage therapy as a great intervention for any neuro-muscular condition.
One of the obstacles that I face as a Massage Therapist is people saying that there is no science to back it up. This is simply not true. Please check out the link to learn more about medical case studies that support Massage Therapy.

Image change for massage therapy
When you think of massage therapy what image comes to mind? A relaxing spa on a cruise ship or casino? While this may be true, Massage therapy has gone through an image change over the last 25 years.
Massage therapy has become a part of the health care community. The two most common reasons why people seek massage therapy are stress relief and chronic pain.
The reason clients keep coming back is because massage therapy addresses the cause of these issues. Factors that are contributing to this image change, are standards and regulations such as post graduate education, a code of ethics, and a license for therapists that pass a national boards exam.
Even some health insurance companies are choosing to include massage therapy in their coverage plans. However you don’t need to have chronic pain to benefit from massage therapy.
A once or twice a month maintenance plan will help prevent injuries, and chronic pain from occurring in the first place. It is fair to consider massage as an overall maintenance plan for your health

The Many Benefits of Receiving a Therapeutic Massage in a Health Care Environment
In these tough economic times everyone is concerned with getting the most out of every dollar. I believe the best massage therapy session takes place in a health care environment.
The first reason is time. I offer full one hour sessions compared to 50 minute sessions that most spas offer.
The second reason is value. I am currently offering a cash plan where you would pay between 50-60 dollars per session, compared to the 100 dollars you would likely pay at a spa.
The last reason is in a medical environment you would never be required to tip me for the massage therapy session, where as in a spa tips are expected and sometimes built into the price.
This is why I feel strongly that the best value and most benefits for massage therapy are experienced in a health care environment. Go to my website and click on loyalty program for more information.

Relive your constipation with massage therapy
The typical American diet consists of processed pork for breakfast, fast food lunch on the go, and pizza or meatloaf for dinner. With this type of diet it is only a matter of time before you become constipated.
One way to change this unhealthy cycle is to change your diet to more fruit and vegetables, increase your water, and many other dietary improvements. But how can massage therapy improve your bowel function?
In the video below A massage therapist demonstrates how to perform an abdominal massage for constipation. I know from my own practice, that massage techniques can improve your constipation in as little as one session.
An improvement in bowel function can lead to more energy, less headaches, and a more clear thought process.
